By registering an account and using FC Fantasy League ("the Site", "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site.

2. About the Service

FC Fantasy League is a free, fan-made online football management game. Users can register as managers, be assigned a team, compete in leagues, submit match results, and manage player squads. The Site operates entirely for entertainment purposes with no commercial objectives.

This is not an official product. We are not affiliated with Electronic Arts, EA Sports, FIFA, the Premier League, or any other football organisation or governing body.

3. User Accounts

To use the Service you must register an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate information including a valid email address and gamertag
• Keep your password secure and not share it with others
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose

• Submit false or fraudulent match results
• Attempt to manipulate the game in a way that undermines fair play

Violations may result in account suspension or permanent ban at our discretion.

5. Match Results and Fair Play

Users are expected to submit honest and accurate match results. The approval system exists to verify results between managers. Submitting fraudulent results, refusing to approve legitimate results, or exploiting the system is a violation of these terms and may result in account suspension.

6. Tokens and In-Game Currency

Tokens are an in-game currency earned by participating in matches. Tokens have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash or any real-world goods. We reserve the right to adjust, reset, or remove tokens at any time.

7. Intellectual Property

Player names, club names, and football statistics referenced on this Site belong to their respective owners. We make no claim of ownership over any third-party intellectual property. If you are a rights holder and believe your IP is being used inappropriately, please contact us.

The Site's design, code, and original content are the property of FC Fantasy League.

8. Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for any data loss, downtime, or technical issues. This is a hobbyist project maintained on a best-effort basis.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

We do not collect payment information, phone numbers, real names, or location data.

Your data is used solely to operate the Site:

• To authenticate your account and manage your session
• To send password reset emails when requested
• To display your gamertag and Discord username to other users on the Site
• To track game activity such as match results, goals, and league standings

We do not use your data for marketing, advertising, or any commercial purpose. We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. What Is Publicly Visible

The following information is visible to other logged-in users of the Site:

• Your gamertag
• The team you manage
• Your Discord username (if provided)
• Your manager career statistics (wins, losses, goals etc.)
• Match results involving your team

Your email address is never displayed publicly.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on a secure server hosted by DigitalOcean. We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption, secure password hashing, and access controls. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the Site:

• Mailjet - used to send transactional emails (password resets). Only your email address is passed to Brevo for this purpose.
• DigitalOcean - our hosting provider. Your data is stored on their infrastructure.
• Google Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site (pages visited, traffic sources, session duration). This service uses cookies to collect anonymised usage data. Google may process this data on servers outside the UK. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking via Google's opt-out tool.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising or tracking tools.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Update your Discord username or remove it at any time via your profile settings

To exercise any of these rights, contact the Site administrator.

8. Data Retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data. Game statistics (goals, match results) may be retained in anonymised form as part of historical season records.

9. Cookies

The Site uses the following cookies:

• Session cookies — strictly necessary to keep you logged in. These do not track you across other websites.
• Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4 sets cookies (including _ga and _ga_XXXXXXXXXX) to collect anonymised data about how you use the Site, such as pages visited and time spent. This helps us improve the Site. By continuing to use the Site you agree to this. You can opt out at any time via Google's opt-out tool.

No advertising, remarketing, or third-party tracking cookies are used.
