It was only the start. The first season was just getting used to my new home in Shrewsbury, second season we got the ball rolling. Made some spenny signings, created some superstars and no one could stop us, title was fully deserved

"Welcome to Sunderland! This is your first job in the league — introduce yourself to the fans. Who are you, how do you like your football played, and what should Sunderland supporters expect from your reign?"
To all Middlesbrough supporters,
It is a tremendous honor to stand before you today as the new Head Coach of Middlesbrough Football Club.
I understand what this club means to this city, to its history, and most importantly, to you—the supporters. Middlesbrough is built on hard work, pride, resilience, and passion. Those values will be at the heart of everything we do.
From my first day, my commitment is simple: we will work relentlessly to build a team that reflects the spirit of this club. A team that competes with courage, plays with intensity, and earns your respect every time it steps onto the pitch.
Success is never guaranteed in football, but what I can guarantee is effort, accountability, and a determination to improve every single day. We will face challenges together, and we will celebrate achievements together. Most importantly, we will move forward as one club, united by a common goal.
The supporters are the lifeblood of Middlesbrough. Your passion, your loyalty, and your belief can make the Riverside a special place. I ask for your support as we begin this journey together.
I cannot wait to get started. There is a great deal of work ahead, but I believe in the potential of this club, these players, and this community.
Together, we will strive to create something that everyone connected with Middlesbrough can be proud of.
Up the Boro.
Thank you.
